Ross-on-WyeRoss-on-Wye

Just 5 miles from The Bowens, Ross on Wye claims to be the birthplace of British Tourism perhaps because it is the only town in what has been declared an Area of Outstanding Beauty. Located on the River Wye, this small town with a population of around 10,000 is well known for its array of antique shops. Shopping is also catered for at the twice weekly markets held on Thursday and Saturday.

The Market House Heritage Centre tells the story of Ross and the Wye Valley and nearby is Goodrich Castle built around 1150 and mostly intact. Part of the old railway track has been converted into a scenic cycle and walkway or for a more relaxing way to enjoy the sites of Ross why not try a river cruise.
