The Wye Valley
Set in the heart of England and designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the Wye Valley follows the River Wye from Hereford to Chepstow covering 72 miles. This picturesque valley has welcomed and inspired some of the most famous poets, writers and artists of our time including Wordsworth. The valley has been inhabited for at least 12,000 years and a visit to the caves near Symonds Yat and Chepstow provide evidence of stone age man. Although quite a hilly area, cycling is without doubt one of the best ways to see the Wye Valley and there are many places where you can cycle both on and off road.
